OLD PHOTO: I have changed my glasses since |
Brief yet intense fascinations have led to me knowing one thing about everything and knowing everything about nothing. My ideal weekend is spent learning as much as possible about a very niche subject, sharing what I've learnt and never engaging with the subject matter ever again.
My sustainable interests include but are not limited to, alternative board games, playing and recording electronic music and retro video games. Reading and film, normal people hobbies, are a bit struggle for me. I can't sit down long enough for either to hold my attention - this is a skill which I think many people take for granted. As is riding a bike - I have balance issues which means I will probably never be able to do this to a high standard. Believe it or not, bad balance and an inability to sit still are actually connected.
I'm very involved in the life of my local church and look to represent Christ in word and deed. For me, faith isn't a bolt on to the rest of my life but the prescription for my eyesight that enables me to look at everything in the way, I hope, God might see it. That's a daily struggle though!
And that, friends, is what it means to live a life beyond parody.
